MUF wood glue (Min 2,3,5,7…)

  • MUF glue is a type of WBP (Water Boiled Proof) glue that is very popular in Vietnam. Basically, MUF glue is produced like UF glue, going through a thermal reaction process between Formalin and Urea under the catalysis / inhibition of Formic Acid and Sodium Hydroxide. The difference between MUF and UF glue is that in the reaction process of MUF glue, melamine is involved.
  • MUF glue has a variety of types from E0 to E2 for domestic production and export. Depending on the percentage of melamine in the glue, the properties of the glue are also different. The higher the percentage of melamine, the higher the quality of the waterproof plywood. The maximum water resistance is 72 hours of boiling.

Application:

  • MUF glue is suitable for the production of outdoor furniture and products that require waterproofing such as marine plywood, film-coated plywood, shuttering, LVL, etc.

Advantages:

  • MUF glue is available in a variety of types.
  • Quite good water resistance, relatively good mechanical strength.
  • Has the ability to resist moisture for plywood.
  • Higher adhesion than UF glue, helping the filler layers not to separate when cutting.
