Wood Glue UF – E0

Urea – formaldehyde or urea-methanal is a synthetic adhesive created from the reaction between urea and formalin (water + 37% formaldehyde) at a suitable temperature. During the reaction, 10% NaOH and CH3COOH are used. U-F products are often used in the plywood industry as an adhesive. There are many types of UF glue such as E0, E1, E2 glue, in which E2 glue and mixed water glue are commonly used in Vietnam in exterior constructions that do not require high quality, especially Formaldehyde emissions.

Application:

  • UF E0 and E1 glues are often used to produce indoor furniture because the amount of formaldehyde emissions is allowed by many governments.
  • Meanwhile, UF E2 glue is commonly used in the production of outdoor furniture in many Vietnamese factories.

Advantages:

  • UF glue is commonly used in the market.
  • Cheaper than other types of glue.
  • The time for pressing the board is relatively short.
